Kerugoya: As part of the Customer Service Week celebrations, staff from Huduma Centre Kerugoya have been actively engaging in various community service activities. Led by Centre Manager Stella Mukami, the team visited Kerugoya School for the deaf, where they donated assorted items and foodstuffs. The institution, which caters to over 150 students across different educational levels, is one of the special learning facilities in the county.
According to Kenya News Agency, Customer Service Week, celebrated globally, aims to recognise the importance of customer service and the employees who serve and support customers daily. In addition to their visit to the school, the Huduma Centre team reached out to elderly residents in nearby villages, gifting them with various items and conducting awareness sessions on key government services and programmes designed to support senior citizens. These sessions focused on enrolment into the new health insurance, registration for cash transfers, and pension processing.
Huduma centres have enabled Kenyans to access over 22,000 government services through the e-Citizen platform, a government initiative to digitise public service delivery. The outreach activities underscore Huduma Centre Kerugoya’s ongoing commitment to fostering inclusivity, community engagement, and excellent customer service beyond the service counters.
