Everton Targets Free Agents Vardy and Martial in Striker Search

Liverpool: Everton are exploring the possibility of signing Jamie Vardy or Anthony Martial as free agents in a bid to strengthen their attacking options after the recent transfer window closed without a new striker acquisition. The club remains in search of a forward to bolster their squad.

According to BBC, former England forward Jamie Vardy, 39, has become a potential target for Everton following his departure from Italian side Cremonese. The Toffees are reportedly keen on adding Vardy's experience to their lineup after missing out on securing a striker before the deadline. Additionally, David Moyes' side is considering a move for Anthony Martial, 30, who recently left Mexican club Monterrey and is also a free agent.

Meanwhile, AC Milan is contemplating the addition of 33-year-old Ivory Coast winger Wilfried Zaha to their roster. Zaha is among the players being evaluated by the club as they seek to enhance their attacking left-wing options. In another development, 19-year-old Brazilian attacking midfielder Estevao Willian is reportedly assessing his future at Chelsea. Willian is concerned about his chances of first-team football under current manager Xabi Alonso and may consider a move in January.

Elsewhere, Arsenal has secured an option to recall 19-year-old England Under-21 winger Ethan Nwaneri, currently on a season-long loan at Borussia Dortmund, should the need arise in January. Sunderland winger Chemsdine Talbi, 21, is engaged in discussions with Saudi Pro League team Al-Ittihad, with interest from both Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.

In the United Arab Emirates, the Arabian Falcons, managed by Jonjo Shelvey, are reportedly targeting former Manchester United and England winger Jadon Sancho, 26. Lastly, Argentina striker Lautaro Martinez, 29, expressed his honor at being linked with Barcelona but reaffirmed his commitment to staying with Inter Milan.
