Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune decided on Thursday 06 July 2023 to grant a financial contribution of 30 million dollars to help rebuild the Palestinian city of Jenin, following the attack launched by the Israeli forces which caused numerous victims, reports the Algerian press agency (APS).
According to him, through this aid, Algeria once again expresses its permanent solidarity with the struggle of the Palestinian people and its claim for its legitimate national rights, in the foreground of which, the establishment of its independent state with Al-Quds. Al-Sharif as the capital.
Following the announcement of this financial aid from the Algerian president, his Palestinian counterpart, Mahmoud Abbas, expressed his thanks for this “urgent” financial contribution intended for the reconstruction of the city and the camp of Jenin.
Israel launched a large-scale military operation in the city of Jenin and its camp on Monday, July 3, which lasted about 48 hours, resulting in the death of 13 Palestinians and wounding 120 others, 20 of whom are in critical condition, in addition widespread destruction of camp infrastructure.
