Abidjan, The Ivorian Prime Minister, Patrick Achi, on Monday, January 24, 2022, laid the foundation stone of the Ebimpé vocational high school, in Anyama, in the northern outskirts of Abidjan.

This vocational high school is part of a set of seven vocational education establishments to be built in Yamoussokro, Kong, Gbéléban, Diabo, Dabakala and Korogho.

The overall cost of these infrastructures amounts to 146.5 billion CFA francs, including 22 billion CFA francs disbursed by the Ivorian State and 124 billion CFA francs from a loan from a Chinese bank, noted the Prime Minister.

The construction of these infrastructures is a direct follow-up to the “solidarity Côte d’Ivoire” social project, which provides for “the strengthening of human capital and the country’s capacity to provide effective education, so that “youth master the fundamental knowledge especially technical and digital related to our time”.

“Côte d’Ivoire needs technicians and engineers to speed up the march of industry, businesses and the labor market. The Ivorian future therefore passes through these essential sectors, these sectors of the future offering access to exciting professions of social and human progress, ”said the head of government.

The construction of this high school thus meets the training needs of young people, in order to create more sustainable jobs around agricultural wealth but also to promote the integration of young people into trades resulting from new sectors such as construction, housing, mining and energy, mechanization, digital economy.

The objective is always to enable companies to have “a large, well-qualified, competent and committed workforce”.

The implementation of this project extends over a period of seven years, namely three years for the construction and equipment of all the establishments and four years for the training of trainers as well as for the maintenance of the equipment.

The Prime Minister, Patrick Achi, proceeded on Saturday January 15, 2021 to the official inauguration of the new premises of the Center for office automation, communication and management (CBCG) of Bouaké, a vocational training establishment, it is recalled.
