Abidjan, In an Order dated September 15, 2021, the prefect of the Bagoué region, prefect of the Boundiali department (North Ivorian), Amani Tiémoko, orders the closure of Lady Adissa’s prayer site Touré in Kolia .

“The occupants of the prayer site with the exception of the owners of the built lots and residents of the district are ordered to leave the premises”, stipulates article 2 of the prefectural decree.

The administrative document mentions, among other reasons justifying the eviction decision, “the start of the school year and the occupation of the city’s school infrastructure by visitors in search of a miraculous cure”, “the inconvenience caused to the local populations, to the owners of the lots. built and to residents by those individuals seeking healing through prayer ”.

The non-grade prefect also recalls “the need to prevent possible epidemics of cholera, Ebola fever and the spread of COVID-19 in the Bagoué region” as well as “the reality of jihadist threats at the borders of the region of Bagoué with Mali ”.

The Decree which recalls “the suspension of the activities of Lady Adissa Touré on September 10, 2021” and “the presence of individuals on the site despite the suspension of the activities of Lady Adissa Touré”, while “considering the telephone instructions of the Hierarchy dated September 15, 2021 ”, adds in its article 3 that“ the local administrative authorities and the police forces are responsible, each as far as it is concerned, with the execution of this decree which takes effect from of the date of signature. ”

In recent months, the city of Kolia has been stormed by many people from all over Côte d’Ivoire and even from the sub-region and Europe, in search of healing from Lady Adissa Touré, presented like a “prophetess” able to work miracles , on the basis of the Koran. This situation divides the Muslim community between, on the one hand, those who see no objection and on the other hand, those who see it as a deception and blasphemy, especially since it tramples on the precepts of the ‘Islam, they say. The latter rather maintain that it operates its activities and exercises its powers in a mystical way, in collusion with the “Djinns” (geniuses).

So far, leaders of Islam, including the Higher Council of Imams, Mosques and Islamic Affairs (COSIM), have not spoken openly on the issue, despite numerous appeals from members of the community. Muslim for clarification.
