Côte d’Ivoire-AIP / The Ministry of Youth Promotion trains 101 young people in qualifying training

Abidjan, Sept 17, 2021 (AIP) – The Ministry of Youth Promotion, Professional Integration and Civic Service has trained, through the Youth Employment Agency and in partnership with the international firm, Kaizene, 101 young people in qualifying training, in particular, in marketing, business management and management in order to adapt their initial training to the needs of the labor market.

These beneficiaries received their end-of-training certificates on Thursday, September 16, 2021, during a ceremony organized for the occasion at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in the presence of the Minister of Youth Promotion, Professional integration and civic service, Mamadou Touré.

According to the administrator of the Youth Employment Agency, Jean Louis Kouadio, the training started in February 2021, follows an agreement signed with the international firm, Kaizene, specializing, among other things, in capacity building. It lasted six months and is part of the complementary continuing training program initiated by the said ministry, he added.

The director general of the international cabinet, Kaizene, Aphing-Kouassi Lynda, indicated that this training was intended to transform the beneficiaries by instilling in them a new mentality, a new state of mind, that of a “winner”, to succeed. their socio-professional integration.

Minister Mamadou Touré underlined that the government of Prime Minister Patrick Achi is mobilized to create all opportunities in terms, among other things, of integration and training and that it is up to young people to sixteen them to get out of the idleness. Because, he insisted, the public service cannot accommodate everyone.

“For this year, in terms of apprenticeship currently, it is nearly a billion CFA francs that the ministry will release to put young people in apprenticeship. At the level of additional qualifying training, currently, it is 572 million CFA francs that the ministry has disbursed to allow young people to have additional qualifying training. Young people must get involved, get information, accept to learn, agree to retrain. If you don’t, you will miss out on the opportunities that are being created, ”said Mr. Touré.

In 2020, nearly 2,000 young people benefited from the additional qualifying training system in promising trades, we find.
