Côte d’Ivoire-AIP / End of the sanitation campaign in the livestock sales markets in Korhogo

The regional delegate of the National Waste Management Agency (ANAGED), Diomandé Natacha, affirmed, Tuesday July 04, 2023, during an interview with the AIP that ANAGED has organized a safety campaign in all livestock sales markets from June 26 to July 2, 2023 in Korhogo.

“We organized an awareness campaign for sellers of sheep, oxen and goats with the aim of cleaning up their work environment. We ask all vendors to stay the course even after the campaign to keep their workplaces clean. It is not because we sell animals that the living environment must be dirty”, denounced Ms. Diomandé.

According to her, the Tabaski festival is a busy time in the livestock sales markets in Korhogo. On each occasion, ANAGED organizes a campaign to sensitize livestock sellers to keep the markets clean.

ANAGED is the regulatory authority for the solid waste sector in Côte d’Ivoire. Since its creation on November 2, 2018, it has continued to lay the groundwork for optimal management of the waste sector. From the ordinary collection of garbage, she now begins a process aimed at transforming waste.
