Côte d’Ivoire-AIP / The “Sublime Côte d’Ivoire” tourism strategy explained to the populations of Dabou

Dabou, Sept 17, 2021 (AIP) – The executive secretary of the National Tourism Council, and delegation of the Ministry of Tourism, Dr Aphing Kouassi Germain explained on Thursday September 16, 2021, in Place Bédié, the stakes of the strategy ”sublime coast ivory ”during the festivities of the tourist fortnight in Dabou.

According to him, this strategy initiated by the Minister of Tourism and Leisure, Siandou Fofana, aims to make our country a tourist hub accessible to all, and which contributes significantly to the national budget.

To this end, Dr Aphing said that three purposes are contained in “sublime Côte d’Ivoire”. Namely the consequent participation in the gross domestic product (GDP), the creation of profitable jobs, and the reduction of disparities in the investments of the sector.

These goals, indicated the representative of the Minister of Tourism, are based on reforms which are being implemented by all administrations as well as the government.

These include transport, for which cost reduction requires consultation between stakeholders, land, the guarantees of which must be given to the investor, the security which deserves to be ensured at all levels, the training of stakeholders. hotel, catering and event structures and the association of communities to the said project.

Also, for Dr Aphing Kouassi, the creation of the post of national executive secretary meets this objective, which is to exchange with stakeholders to promote the sector.

Concluding, the executive secretary of the national council of tourism, invited all the living forces to take advantage of the advantages of the richness of the tourist heritage of Leboutou and to institute the tourist fortnight to promote local tourism.

Several authorities including the mayor of Dabou, Yede Niagne Claude, the representative of the Minister-Governor of the Lagoons, Ahui Luc, the regional councilor, Kokora Donatien, the heads of services and villages followed this enriching intervention which opened the stage of the tourist fortnight in Dabou.
