The government has decreed a national mourning of 10 days from August 2 to 11 following the death of the former President of the Republic, Henri Konan Bédié. During this period, the flags will be flown at half-mast on public buildings in the country as well as in all diplomatic representations of Côte d’Ivoire abroad. An official funeral will follow later.
