Ivory Coast-AIP / We need a double response to terrorists (Jean Yves Le Drian)

The French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean Yves Le Drian, declared Thursday June 10, 2021, on the occasion of the inauguration ceremony of the International Wrestling Academy Against Terrorism (AILCT), in Jacqueville, that it takes a double response to terrorists to prevent them from bringing chaos.

”Since the terrorist attack of Grand-Bassam where Ivorians and French perished together, we know that our responsibility is to fight together this common enemy (…). Consequently, the questions which arise for us are: how to effectively fight against the mobile terrorist groups more than ever (…)? How to prevent here their strategies of chaos to weaken States and subjugate populations by violence? To these questions, we must provide a double answer by joining forces and acting with the same energy and the same requirement ”, he indicated.

according to him, “this is precisely the meaning of the creation of this academy”.

Mr. Le Drian spoke in the presence of the Ivorian Prime Minister, Patrick Achi, the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Integration and the Diaspora, Kandia Camara, the Minister of State, Minister of Defense, Téné Birahima Ouattara, and the Minister of the Interior and Civil Protection, Vagondo Diomandé.

Minister Jean Yves Le Drian arrived Wednesday June 09, 2021 in Abidjan for this ceremony. He left the Ivorian economic capital on Friday June 11, 2021 for Burkina Faso, in order to express France’s solidarity to the Burkinabè people following the terrorist attack in a village in this country, which left more than 130 people. dead.
