Côte d’Ivoire-AIP / Bingerville main market: Traders plead for the extension of the eviction deadline

Traders in the main Bingerville market pleaded for an extension of the eviction deadline, during a meeting with Mayor Issouf Doumbia.

These exchanges served as a framework for traders and the mayor of Bingerville to finalize the terms of evicting the main market for temporary relocation sites.

The reasons mentioned include the non-sale of products and goods available, the imminent start of the school year, fixed charges, etc.

In order to find a consensual deadline, the mayor, Issouf Doumbia decided on other working meetings with the heads of the organizations in the days to come.

The municipal council of Bingerville has decided to rebuild the main market, due to its current state of disrepair and dilapidation.
