A total of 308 community health workers (CHWs) benefited from a capacity building session initiated by the Institut rescus cometeed (IRC), in the Guémon region, noted the AIP.
The training takes place in a fragmented manner in health centers chosen for the occasion, from June 7 to 12, 2021. It is part of the fight against malaria.
The objective is to strengthen the capacities of these community health workers, in order to get them to take care of sick children, knowing that they represent the first link in the community health chain and especially to do research. “Pregnant women lost to follow-up”, as part of the fight against malaria.
According to IRC malaria project manager Moumine Armelle, the project is supported by the international non-governmental organization (NGO) Save the Children.
